Why Driftwood
Editing is the hard part. We do the editing.
Most photo books never get made because nobody wants to pick 80 pictures out of 2,000. Driftwood does the choosing, the sequencing and the layout, then hands you the pen for the final say.
Curation that thinks like an editor
Our model scores every frame for light, faces, sharpness and moment, dumps the twelve near-identical shots of the same sunset, and keeps the one where your friend is mid-laugh. It groups by day, place and mood, so the book reads as a journey rather than a dump.
Layouts with breathing room
Full-bleed spreads for the big vistas, quiet single frames for the small moments. Templates were designed by book designers, not by a grid generator.
Captions in your voice
Driftwood drafts short, plain captions from location, time and what it sees. Tap any one to rewrite it. Or leave the pages wordless. Both look right.
Bound to last
Linen or cloth hardcover, 170gsm matte archival paper, lay-flat binding, foil-stamped title. The kind of book that ends up on a coffee table, not in a drawer.
Private by design
Photos are processed on encrypted servers and deleted 30 days after your book ships. Nothing is used for training. Your trip is yours.
Maps and margins
Each chapter opens with a hand-drawn style route map built from your photo locations. Optional, and quietly lovely.
