Anthropic Extends Claude Fable 5 Access on All Paid Plans Through July 12
Days after signaling a July 7 cutoff to metered billing, Anthropic says included access to its most capable model now runs on every paid plan through July 12.
Anthropic said on July 7 that it is extending access to Claude Fable 5 on all paid plans through July 12. The move pushes back the cutoff that was set to drop Fable 5 out of included usage this week and shift it to metered usage credits at $10 / $50 per million tokens.
Fable 5 is Anthropic's most capable generally available model, part of the Mythos-class tier that sits above Opus. It returned on July 1 after a 19-day export-control suspension, and the company had originally paired the relaunch with a one-week grace period of included access. The extension gives Pro, Max, and Team subscribers five more days on the top model before metered billing kicks in.
Fable 5 variants run live against Opus and Sonnet in the coding arena. The extra days on every paid tier are a free window to judge the outputs yourself before the meter starts.
