OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Work, a GPT-5.6-Powered Agent to Rival Claude Cowork

OpenAI shipped ChatGPT Work on July 9, a general-purpose productivity agent that folds ChatGPT, Codex, and a built-in browser into one workspace. It's OpenAI's clearest answer yet to Claude Cowork, Anthropic's desktop agent, and it leans on the newly launched GPT-5.6 model family to do it.
